About HomeClass SA


HomeClass SA is a Mathematics e-learning platform for high school learners, founded by Tshepo, a Wits university graduate who currently holds a BSc degree majoring in Actuarial Science and Mathematical statistics. His final grade 12 mathematics mark was a 93%, with an overall average mark of 90% for all subjects combined. Tshepo is currently working as an actuarial analyst and also does consulting at a consulting firm, focused mainly in the private healthcare sector. 

 

"Most South African learners are simply afraid of mathematics. This is why we decided to build a mathematics course that is designed to assist learners understand mathematics better", says Tshepo. The platform has bite-sized content that is easy to absorb and always gives the learner an opportunity to interactively practice what they have just learned, using quizzes that immediately let the learner know where they went wrong and how to arrive to the correct answer. HomeClass SA also produces regular progress reports for each learner in order to ensure all learners stay on track. Learners who are seen to be struggling will be offered an opportunity to book private lessons with one of HomeClass SA’s tutors for a reasonable consultation fee. This way, the income gap does not necessarily put any learner at a disadvantage, since access to the platform is ABSOLUTELY FREE. Learners only pay for one-on-one tutorial sessions.
